Technical Information
70-80% Silicon (Si) – Presented as plant available Orthosilicic acid.
Benefits
SOTERIA is a very unique formulation that stabilises liquid silicic acid into a nutrient solution being fully usable by the plant via both foliar and root application. Silicon is the second most abundant nutrient via the earth, however, its availability to the plant is very low as plants can only access it as ortho-silicic acid. This then requires a biologically active soil to convert silica into a plant-available form.

  • SOTERIA provides available silicon to increase the strength, growth, and health of crops once applied.
  • SOTERIA will naturally increase the strength of cells and increase plant growth so optimising overall growth, health, and balance.
  • SOTERIA aids the balance of nutrient uptake by addressing the silicon requirements thereby reducing competition for uptake against other essential elements.
  • SOTERIA reinforces the leaf cuticle and other epidermal tissues to reduce susceptibility to pathogenic invasion and pest pressure. Orthosilicic acid concerts to silica in and between the cell walls which is what gives the plant strength, thickening stems and also increases chlorophyll production.
  • Unlike many silicon products, SOTERIA is immediately plant-usable and is flexible in tank mixtures.
Directions For Use
IMPORTANT:
This information is approved as part of the product label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

Apply when there is adequate leaf for foliar coverage and uptake into the plant. For best results of nutritional uptake, apply in the evening or early morning. Do not spray when the crop is in stressed conditions such as very hot weather or drought. Shake the container well before opening and use. Spray equipment should always be clean before adding product.

COMPATIBILITY:
Compatible with most products. When mixing with multiple products or new products for the First time, a simple jar test is recommended. Always use AF SOTERIA as recommended. It may prove harmful if not used correctly. For details of compatibilities contact your distributor or local AIVA FERTILISER representative.

FOLIAR APPLICATION

Rinse the container thoroughly and then add the rinsing’s to the sprayer. Once mixed, continue agitation until spraying is complete and spray without delay. It is not advised to leave products in the tank for long periods of time.

TIMING:

FOLIAR NUTRITION APPLICATIONS

For best results of nutritional uptake, apply in the evening or early morning. Do not spray when the crop is in stressed conditions such as very hot weather or drought.

MIXING:
Never prepare more spray solution than is required. Suspend the required dose of AF SOTERIA in water, as 1 volume of AF SOTERIA in 5 volumes of water. Mix thoroughly. Add suspension to the required amount of water to the sprayer last, after any other nutrition. Rinse the container thoroughly and add the rinsing’s to the sprayer. Once mixed, it is vital to continue agitation until the application is complete. Apply without delay. It is not advised to leave products in the tank for long periods of time.
