Our Story
We believe that to provide the best solutions for our clients, we first need to have a vested interest in understanding their processes. That is why we make it our mission to know our customers, delve into their unique needs and provide customised solutions that drive healthier, more naturally productive crops.
AIVA was founded in 2015 by Mike Harrington, an agronomist with a focus on renewal and preservation within the agricultural industry. His goal is to provide solutions that best fit the user’s unique scenarios, championing a reduction in chemical use, and advancing a holistic systems approach.
Within a short period of time, we have challenged the industry norm, establishing the importance of crop health through nutritional management. Growers all over the UK are using our products and knowledge to develop their sustainable journey, creating more nutritionally dense crops, and regenerating their soils.
Collectively, we are making advancements towards a better agriculture. Consistently working to benefit it, and the environment, positively.
This can only be achieved by partnering with growers, and like-minded bodies. By working together, we can contribute to supporting nature, strengthening ecosystems, and building a healthier planet that supports us all.
Our History
We’ve come a long way in a short amount of time, but the concept of AIVA was born long before the company physically manifested.
Entering the industry at the height of the chemical era, when the solution to crop production was mostly just chemical inputs, Mike Harrington took a keen interest in finding a better understanding to manage the growth and health of plants. He turned to the past for answers, studying experts like Scott Morton and Ehrenfried Pfeiffer, pioneers in biodynamic agriculture.
Applying an agronomy style that respected the soil and nurtured the crops, Mike started to observe the effects of holistic management. The effects were so inspiring, he decided to wholeheartedly employ this concept.
The only question was how to best support such management. That’s how AIVA was born. A centre that collected a library of beneficial solutions that would support growers looking to journey down a sustainable, holistic route.
Journeying to the present day, we have continued along this path. Exploring to build a portfolio of beneficial solutions, as well as investing in creating our very own, partnering with technologies that progress or advance crop health and nutrition for the future.
