Silica is fast becoming a vital part of nutritional programs, aiding in building plants natural defenses. RAMPART™ distributes silica throughout the entirety of the plant, enabling it to become stronger and healthier, with strengthened cell walls and increased brix levels. Silica naturally enables the plant to withstand pest and disease issues, reducing applied PGRS, pesticides and fungicides.

1. Silicon helps to increase the stiffness of the stem, which makes plants more resistant to weather conditions and water stress.
2. Potassium silicate is a biostimulant that strengthens plants, protecting them from mites and other insects. It also strengthens the cell walls, forming a physical barrier against infection by pathogens.
3. Silicates increase the growth rate of plants. They promote photosynthesis and strengthen the cells. As a result, the plants become stronger and can grow faster.
4. Silicates rapidly break down into molecular forms that are indistinguishable from naturally occurring silica. Silicates are completely harmless to humans, animals and the environment, while possessing many of the beneficial properties of pesticides and fertilisers.

RAMPART™ aids the balance of nutrient uptake by the plant. Silica is not only an essential nutrient which encourages healthier plants, but also a major brix builder. The presence of silica can positively affect the uptake and absorption of macro and micro-nutrients, increasing nutrient efficiency and encouraging their natural synergies.

• Increasing silica has been shown to increase drought & heat tolerance, increase nitrogen re-synthesis for protein formation along with a host of other beneficial actions.
• Silica increases plant cell development, thickening and strengthening trichomes, cuticle & palisade layer of cell walls forming a physical barrier against infection by disease & insect pathogens.
• Once silica is absorbed by the plant, it is quickly and perpetually deposited into cell walls. The deposits form a Silica-cellulose framework; cells can then be generated faster, driving the plant to develop quicker.
• RAMPART™ provides important nutrients that plants need to become strong and resilient. Silica maintains plant cell integrity whilst helping to increase the stiffness, and thickness, of the stem, which makes plants more resistant to weather conditions and water stress. Potassium increases lignin formation & nutrient transfer around the plant.
• Silica also acts as part of a plant’s immune system. Just like a mammal’s white blood cells, plants will increase silica deposition to an injury or infection site to fight off invading pathogens whilst accumulated silica in a plant’s system creates a barrier around its cells that makes it more difficult for disease pathogens or pests to penetrate.

DO NOT
spray plants that are in flower.

For best results of nutritional uptake, apply in the evening or early morning. Do not spray when the crop is in stressed conditions such as very hot weather or drought. Shake the container well before opening and use. Spray equipment should always be clean before adding product.

COMPATIBILITY:
DO NOT MIX WITH LOW PH PRODUCTS – take extreme caution when mixing. For details of compatibilities, contact your distributor or local AIVA FERTILISER representative. Always carry out a jar test before adding to a new mix.

FOLIAR APPLICATIONS

MIXING:
Half fill the spray tank with water, begin agitation and add the required quantity of AF RAMPART to the tank. Rinse container thoroughly and then add the rinsing to the sprayer. Once mixed, continue agitation until spraying is complete and spray immediately. It is not advised to leave products in the tank for long periods of time.

If mixing with other products and/or nutrition, add citric acid according to your advised needs.

TIMING: Apply, as necessary, higher rates may be needed in very severe deficiency.
