AF RALLY is a balanced nutrient package specifically designed to optimise nutrient quality and performance for grassland application. It is a highly efficient foliar product feeding plant, soil, and microbes that includes all the essential trace elements to support both plant and animal health, improving photosynthesis and microbial action, especially where large doses of macro-nutrients like Nitrogen & Potassium are applied via both artificial & organic inputs.

The benefits

Stock, plant & soil health relies on nutrient cycling. Without sufficient micro-nutrients to enable all the processes within each to occur, gaps in the system will hinder the ability of each to perform efficiently. AF RALLY has been designed with the correct balance of nutrition to overcome these challenges.

Studies show that plants respond better to nutrients if they are kept in balance within the leaf. When large amounts of any single nutrient are applied, they can ‘lock up’, or make less available, other necessary minerals. To avoid this, applying nutrients in multi-nutrient blends, such as AF RALLY, makes sure that the vital nutritional balance is maintained.

Nitrogen, without any balanced nutrition can, and often does, overload the plant creating a large imbalance with other elements. This causes chaos within the plant cell which can often have a negative effect on yield, health, and quality.

AF RALLY contains a specific combination of nutrients which are complexed with amide Nitrogen, enabling the plant to fully utilise the complexed dose of Nitrogen, and nutrients, whilst considering the total requirements of the plant at the time of application.

Potassium is essential for grass yield and high-quality feed value. The large and worthwhile growth response of grass to Nitrogen is dependent upon a balanced supply of Potassium, both to assist Nitrogen uptake by the roots as nitrate, as well as supporting the conversion of this into complex proteins needed by animals.
Magnesium helps promote muscular health and healthy nervous system in livestock. It is a nutrient that’s important for the processing of plant chlorophyll and for improving the utilisation of phosphorus in the soil, as well as aiding photosynthesis, root growth and energy transfer.
Sulphur supports Nitrogen in protein production. In grass, sulphur is probably more important for improving the quality of grazing and silage, in terms of protein, than the yield increase achieved.
Sodium is used to improve palatability of grass, particularly in fields that have become ‘sour’, unevenly grazed or where livestock are unwilling to graze low enough.
Manganese is used in plants as a major contributor to various biological systems including photosynthesis, respiration, and nitrogen assimilation.
Boron enhances bone density, wound healing and embryonic development. Additionally, boron has a potential impact on the metabolism of numerous minerals and enzymes.
Zinc targets Zinc deficiency issues in livestock, such as subnormal growth and poor fertility.
Copper nutrition is essential for a healthy immune system in cattle. Copper is needed for proper development of antibodies and white blood cells in addition to antioxidant enzyme production. Copper deficient cattle are more susceptible to infections and do not respond as well to vaccinations.
Molybdenum is required in a few enzyme systems, principally Xanthine oxidase (XO), Sulfide oxidase (SO) and Aldehyde oxidase (AO).
Cobalt builds bone and muscle growth in animals, combats susceptibility to cold, encourages a good appetite within livestock and, is an essential component of Vitamin B12 which is associated with energy metabolism.
Selenium acts with vitamin E to protect tissues against oxidation and the breakdown of cell membranes. It is also important for immune function.
Iodine is an essential component of proteins produced by the thyroid. It is therefore important for maintaining the proper functioning of the thyroid gland. Iodine promotes healthy growth and development of young animals.

Application method

This fertiliser CONTAINS SELENIUM AND COBALT, and must be administered under careful supervision of a consultant or veterinarian.

For best results of nutritional uptake, apply in the evening or early morning. Do not spray when the crop is in stressed conditions such as very hot weather or drought. Use when issues are highlighted from tissue analysis, visual assessment or expected from historical issues and soil tests.

Shake the container well before opening and use. Spray equipment should always be clean before adding product.

COMPATIBILITY: Compatible with a wide range of agrochemical products. For details of compatibilities contact your distributor or local AIVA FERTILISER representative. Carry out a jar test before adding to a new mix.

FOLIAR APPLICATION
MIXING: Half fill the spray tank with water, begin agitation and add the required quantity of AF RALLY to the tank. Rinse container thoroughly and then add the rinsing to the sprayer. Once mixed, continue agitation until spraying is complete and spray without delay.
It is not advised to leave products in the tank for long periods of time.
TIMING: 2-3 applications depending on grazing rotation or number of silage cuts. Apply between early grazing in the spring when conditions allow & for later season grazing. Time applications at periods of most stress & when macro-nutrients are being applied in quantity.
