AF Potassium is a highly efficient liquid foliar product designed to aid in the development of a stronger stem, overall plant growth and the production of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). Produced using a unique process of production, via the Flex Fertiliser System ApS, AF Potassium contains a true amide complex that increases the uptake and efficiency of trace elements to the crop.

Looking for Potassium deficiencies

Potassium deficiency in plants will cause a plant to perform more poorly overall than it should. Because of this, it can be difficult to see specific signs of Potassium deficiency in plants. Be aware that during key stages of growth, when the plant is growing quickly, Potassium will always show up as short during analysis. When severe Potassium deficiency happens, you may be able to see some signs in the leaves. The leaves, especially the older leaves, may have brown spots, yellow edges, yellow veins of brown veins.

If in doubt, take a tissue analysis.

The importance of Potassium

  • Potassium triggers activation of enzymes and is essential for production of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). ATP is an important energy source for many chemical processes taking place in plant tissues.
  • Potassium plays a major role in the regulation of water in plants (osmo-regulation). Both uptake of water through plant roots and its loss through the stomata are affected by Potassium.
  • Protein and starch synthesis in plants require Potassium as well. Potassium is essential at almost every step of the protein synthesis. In starch synthesis, the enzyme responsible for the process is activated by Potassium.
  • Poor Potassium uptake will result in less water circulation in the plant. This will make it more susceptible to drought and temperature changes.
  • Potassium assist many functions within the plant. So, when a plant has enough Potassium, it will simply be a better overall functioning plant.

Application method


IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the product label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

For best results of nutritional uptake, apply in the evening or early morning. Do not spray when the crop is in stressed conditions such as very hot weather or drought.

Shake the container well before opening and use. Spray equipment should always be clean before adding product.

COMPATIBILITY: Compatible with a wide range of agrochemical products. For details of compatibilities contact your distributor or local AIVA FERTILISER representative. Carry out a jar test before adding to a new mix.


MIXING: Half fill the spray tank with water, begin agitation and add the required quantity of AF POTASSIUM* to the tank. Rinse container thoroughly and then add the rinsing to the sprayer. Once mixed, continue agitation until spraying is complete and spray without delay. It is not advised to leave products in the tank for long periods of time. *Mix into the tank last when used alongside pesticides.

TIMING: Apply as necessary, higher rates may be needed in very severe deficiency.

DOSE RATE: 3-5 L/ha

WATER RATE: 100-200 L/ha

Aiva Fertiliser uses Flex Fertilizer System technology where the liquid fertiliser contains nutrients in a form that can be taken up by the leaves and utilised by plants highly efficiently. The nutrient content is put into complex compounds using complex chemistry. This formulation results in nutrients being kept available to the plants for a longer period of time and are not lost to leaching or evaporation to the same extent as traditional fertilisers.
